Through service to 91ÖÆÆ¬³§, the 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ Alumni Association adds value and connection to the lives of alumni and to the school’s current and future students, families and others. In partnership with alumni and friends, the Association fosters pride in the school and enhances the 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ reputation through communication, celebration of success, and the development of lifelong relationships through reunions, networking and mentoring, social and community events and more.
 
91ÖÆÆ¬³§ the Alumni Executive Committee
 
91ÖÆÆ¬³§’s Alumni Executive Committee was established in 2019 to help foster strong relationships within the alumni community. The Executive supports the growing network of 1500+ alumni by connecting former students to the school and to each other.

The Alumni Executive Committee is made up of a team of passionate alumni who give their time and talent to deliver alumni experiences that aim to strengthen the 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ community. They are ambassadors of the school who work closely with the Advancement & Community Engagement (ACE) Team to deliver meaningful events and initiatives. 

What does the Alumni Executive support?
 
The Alumni Executive leads the establishment of events and supports programming like:
  • Reunions
  • Networking and Social Events
  • Careers Morning
  • Guest lecture
  • Identifying alumni stories to share with the broader school community 
  • Welcoming the Leaving Class as they become Alumni

Izzy Farag ‘17, President
Izzy is currently an Associate at Birch Hill Equity Partners. Prior to that, she was an Investment Banking Associate at CIBC Capital Markets. Izzy graduated from 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ in 2017 and Queen’s University in 2021. Izzy has been a 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ fan since joining the school in 2012 for Grade 7. Since graduating, Izzy has stayed close to the school - serving as a member on the Alumni Executive for four years and currently serves as President. Izzy has  also served as a member of 91ÖÆÆ¬³§’s Foundation Board for one year. “91ÖÆÆ¬³§ is a unique and close-knit community, and the alumni play an essential role in keeping that spirit alive. We’re excited to organize events and share opportunities to reconnect and relive the memories of your 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ days!”  

Kristina Desormeaux ‘22, Vice-President 
Kristina graduated from 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ in 2022, and is currently in her 3rd year at the University of British Columbia. She is pursuing a dual degree with Economics and International Relations. Kristina is working at CIBC Capital Markets as an Investment Banking analyst starting in August 2026.  Kristina has been on the Alumni Executive Committee since October 2022 as the Young Alumni Chair and now serves as the Vice President. 

Jessie Lewis ‘09, Past President
Jessie is a Corporate and Commercial Lawyer at Aird & Berlis LLP. During her time at Greenwood, Jessie was a student athlete and won multiple awards including Athlete of the Year and the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. After 91ÖÆÆ¬³§, she earned a BA in Communication Studies and Philosophy at Wilfrid Laurier University in 2013, followed by Bachelor of Law Degree at the University of Leeds in 2015, and in 2016 earned her Masters of Law Degree from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. Jessie has served in a leadership role on the Executive since its inception in 2019 and will be taking on the role of Past President this year. 

Hope Kearns ‘10, Chair, Class Presidents
Hope is a Nurse Practitioner at The Hospital for Sick Children in the Complex Care Program. While at Greenwood, Hope was closely involved in Hockey HEROs and won multiple awards including The John Chief Latimer Award, Leader by Example Award, Outdoor Education Award and Duke of Edinburgh. After 91ÖÆÆ¬³§, Hope earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Queens University, a BscN from U of T, and obtained her Master of Nursing at U of T. Hope has volunteered many times as a guest speaker at  Careers Morning. Hope joined the Executive in 2024 and serves as Chair, Class Presidents.  

Tom Wilson ‘07, Co-Chair, Networking and Mentorship
Tom is an Investment Counsellor at Burgundy Asset Management. He was a leader on the Athletics Committee at Greenwood and is a member of the school's second graduating class. After graduation, he earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Dalhousie University in 2011, a CFA Designation in 2019, and a Master of Finance from Smith School of Business, Queen's University, in 2020. Tom has volunteered as a guest speaker at Careers Mornings and moderated an alumni panel for our 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ community. Tom joined the Executive in 2024 and serves as Co-Chair of Networking & Mentorship.   

Sam White ‘22, Co-Chair, Networking and Mentorship 
Sam graduated from 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ in 2022, and is entering his final year at Dalhousie, pursuing a BComm degree, majoring in Finance. Sam will be joining Picton Investments as an Equity Research Associate in 2026.  Sam joined the Alumni Executive Committee in 2024 and serves as Co-Chair of Networking & Mentorship.
